Annual SCV Burrito Bowl raises THOUSANDS for Santa Clarita Valley schools!

Every year, local businesses of Santa Clarita team up with the WiSH Education Foundation to host a fundraiser to support the six local public high schools at the annual SCV Burrito Bowl’s burrito eating contest. Members of each football team race to see who can eat a 4-foot-long burrito in the quickest amount of time. Plan on joining the fun and help kick off the Santa Clarita football season! The Advisory Group Real Estate Network and SCV Concierge have been raising money for the Burrito Bowl since 2010. In 2017, it only made sense to hand the event over to the WiSH Education Foundation whose mission is to help fund programs and initiatives not paid for by tax dollars alone and our goal is to benefit as many students with our dollars as possible.
Each football team and cheer squad receive money for their boosters just for participating. The winning team receives $1,000 for their football program and an additional $1,000 for the cheer squad! In the past 2 years, the fundraiser has been extended to the band and dance teams of each school by providing raffle tickets for all the school boosters to sell. The Grand Prize is of high value, so the students can sell them easily and help each of their own boosters. They keep 100% from the sale of the tickets they sell. That’s where the real fundraising comes in — allowing the students to raise additional funds for travel, uniforms, booster costs, or whatever need they have for that particular year. We leave it up to the boosters to see where that money goes. Participating high schools are: Canyon, Golden Valley, Hart, Saugus, Valencia, and West Ranch.
